The farm has an extension of 7 hectares cultivated with olive trees, vineyard, cereals, forage and a vegetable garden. It produces all the food we need in our kitchen. The cultivation system is entirely biological.
The olive grove consists of 200 centenary trees of the “Ortice” quality, produces approximately 6 quintals (600 kg) of oil ground by a traditional by grinding stone.
The 2 vineyards with Sangiovese, red Malvasia and Aglianico for the red wine; Coda di Volpe and Falanghina (both typical of Benevento Province) are used for producing the white wine. They grow in this “DOC” zone and have a specially fruity aroma
The fields alternate with cultures of hay and cereals (soft wheat, durum or hard wheat and “faro”), which we have ground to flour with traditional stones.
The garden gives us marvellous fresh vegetables: tomatoes, peppers, chili peppers, garlic, onions, potatoes, pumpkins, zucchine, lettuce, cabbages, turnips that we consume fresh or we conserve in jars, either with oil or as marmelade. Moreover, 21 bee hives assure an optimal honey production to sweeten drinks and cakes.
